Benjamin Gilmour : Film

Benjamin Gilmour is an author of non-fiction books, writer of screenplays and director of drama films and documentaries promoting positive social change. Writings have included the book ‘Warrior Poets’ (Pier 9) released in 2008. The film ‘Son of a Lion’ released in the same year was selected for the Berlinale and screened at more than twenty international film festivals. Work in progress includes a documentary on ambulance paramedics worldwide and a book ‘Paramedico’ which was released in Nov 2011.

Benjamin moonlights as a Paramedic with more than 15 years frontline experience in various towns and cities around Australia, presently working in metropolitan Sydney. Benjamin has also worked in ambulance services and on primary health projects in India, Pakistan, South Africa, Macedonia and The Philippines among others.

Benjamin is passionate about social change and has some amazing and inspiring big ideas that have the potential to change the world we live in.
